Habit : A shrub with rough tomentum.
Habitat and Distribution : Common in wastelands, by arable lands, wayside and hills to 1400m. Circumtropical.
Indigenous Information : Good fodder species.
Other relevent information : Cultivated for termite and water resistant fibre, used in making fishing line, rope and binding cord. Fruits and flowers used in traditional medicine.
Field Tips : Leaves angled or lobed, with a gland at the base of the midrib below.
