Habit : A rugose herb.
Habitat and Distribution : Weed of arable lands, fallow fields, ready colonizer. Plains from the coast to 1000m. Afghanistan, sub tropical Himalaya, India, Burma, Philippines, Mauritius.
Indigenous Information : The plant is medicinal and effective in curing ulcers.
Other relevent information : Plant attracts milkweed butterflies.
Field Tips : Leaf auriculate at base with white glands, each gland bears a bristle.
