Habit : A large deciduous tree.
Habitat and Distribution : Some times by river banks. Hills 800-1400m. India and Sri Lanka.
Other relevent information : Good timber species.
Field Tips : Bark greyish black with longitudinal fissures. Wood dark brown streaked with black. Fruit reddish when tender, turning green.
