Habit : A perennial herb.
Habitat and Distribution : Common in scrub jungles, wastelands and fallow lands. Found on hills upto 1400m throughout the tropics and subtropics.
Indigenous Information : Root is a strong medicine, sometimes used to induce abortion.
Other relevent information : Caterpillars of the Zebra Blue Butterflies feed on the plant.
Field Tips : Branches ascending. Flowers with glandular stalked calyx.
