Habit : A small deciduous tree.

Habitat and Distribution : Common in plains to the coast up to 900m. India, Sri Lana, Malay archipelago.

Indigenous Information : The wood is light and strong, therefore preferred for making parts of the plough.

Other relevent information : Wood yellow and good for agricultural implements.
