Habit : A large deciduous tree.

Habitat and Distribution : In the deciduous and dry evergreen forests up to1000m. Peninsular India.

Other relevent information : Timber highly valued.

Field Tips : Bark smooth, white and peeling off in papery flakes. Wood reddish brown.
