Habit : A large deciduous climber.
Habitat and Distribution : Hills and lower slopes 400-1000m. Peninsular India.
Indigenous Information : Apis Florea nests observed on this plant. The stem is cut and crushed to use as a scrubber to clean vessels which are used store curd. The fibre is used as a rope. Elephants graze on the plant.
Field Tips : The fruits are prominent over the canopy.
