Habit : A succulent slender herb.

Habitat and Distribution : Common in low-lying marshy places, along watercourses. Plains from the coast to 1400m. Pantropical.

Indigenous Information : The leaves are cooked with lentils and eaten.

Other relevent information : Plants used in traditional medicine.

Field Tips : Stem sub quadrangular. Rooting at nodes forming dense mats.
