Habit : A densely foliaceous tall tree.

Habitat and Distribution : Plains to 1000 m. India and Sri Lanka.

Other relevent information : Wood is used to make catamarans. Planted for the soft wood and fodder.

Field Tips : Bark whitish, branchlets with persistent leaf scars.

In axillary or terminal panicles. Flowering with a peak from January-March and August-September in the higher altitudes.

Fruit :
